At this meeting, we will decide when we want to meet (afternoon or evening or both), how often, where we will meet and the times. Most importantly, we will decide which games we want to play. Suggestions: Pinochle, Euchre, Hearts, Spades or Poker (for small stakes). Hopefully, we will also have some time to play cards at this meeting.

This Wednesday looks like great cycling weather. How about a leisurely ride from Knock Knolls Park on the DuPage River Trail? The trail is paved and has a gentle grade as it follows the DuPage River along Washington Street. We will ride on the mostly shaded trail to just north of Veteran’s Park north of Gartner. The trail ends at Villa Avenue where we will have a short ride on bike lanes through residential streets to the Dunkin Donuts on Hillside. We’ll leave from the parking lot of the Knock Knolls Nature Center at 320 Knock Knolls Road in Naperville at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, May 17th. The total distance will be 9.4 miles with a coffee, and or ice cream, stop at the Dunkin Donuts at the corner of Washington and Hillside at 4.7 miles. This will be a leisurely ride. Want to add a few miles? After returning to our starting point some of us will continue on the DuPage River Trail to and around Whalon Lake to add another 8 miles to our ride. Find your helmet, dust off the bike, pump up the tires, and get ready for a leisurely ride, coffee, maybe ice cream, and conversation. Rain cancels. I look forward to seeing you all this Wednesday.
